It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for the 10th European Process Intensification Conference (EPIC 2027), which will be held from September 26th to 29th, 2027, in the historic city of Bologna, Italy.

Since its inception in 2007 in Copenhagen as a satellite event of the European Congress of Chemical Engineering, EPIC has developed into a leading forum for the exchange of ideas and advancements in Process Intensification. Over the years, the conference series has brought together scientists, engineers, and industrial practitioners from across Europe and beyond, fostering innovation in sustainable technologies, process design, and industrial applications. The 10th edition represents an important milestone, offering an opportunity to reflect on two decades of progress while shaping the future direction of the field.

Bologna, with its rich cultural heritage, vibrant academic environment, and long-standing tradition in science and engineering, provides an ideal setting for this special edition of EPIC.

Process Intensification (PI) continues to play a pivotal role as a driver of innovation and sustainability in the process industries, delivering significant improvements in resource and energy efficiency, process economics, and environmental performance.
