E2DT 2027 will take place at the historic Camparìa Favignana, one of Sicily's most iconic industrial heritage sites.

Known as the Florio Tuna Fishery, the Tonnara di Favignana was once the beating heart of the island's economy. Developed by the Florio family, its impressive complex - often described as a cathedral overlooking the sea - became the Mediterranean's leading center for the traditional fishing and processing of Atlantic bluefin tuna using the ancient mattanza technique.

Today, the beautifully restored venue stands as an important cultural landmark, combining history, architecture, and the unique atmosphere of the Egadi Islands. Its exceptional setting provides an inspiring location for E2DT 2027, where scientific exchange will take place in one of the Mediterranean's most fascinating historic sites.
