EDITORIAL

This volume is an important source for the study and the knowledge of the last development in several areas covering Chemistry and Processes.
Special care has been dedicated to collecting papers in the topic of biomass, environment, safety, energy and quality. All the topics have received sufficient space in this volume, with the aim of creating a specific forum for the recent research results and applications.

All the articles have been peer-reviewed for acceptance by at least two reviewers, frequently by three and rarely by more. All the articles are identified by a DOI number and will be evaluated for inclusion into SCOPUS and SCHOLAR citation databases.
