This Volume provides a forum on process safety, risk assessment and HSE management, it is a unique opportunity to share and gain experience on "hot" topics in emerging risk assessment and management, as the assessment of accident scenarios caused by natural hazards and the safety of critical infrastructures for energy systems. Some papers are also dedicated to international research projects running on crucial safety issues, as the integration of technical and operational safety barriers and safety of carbon capture and sequestration technologies.
