The general theme of CAMURE11 & ISMR10 will be: "Role of the interface in chemical and biochemical engineering processes"

All relevant topics related to multiphase and multifunctional reactors are obviously included but abstracts concerning the following topics are particularly encouraged.

Topic I - Catalysis in multiphase reactors (gas-solid, gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, gas-liquid - solid)
- Reaction engineering fundamentals: kinetics, mass and heat transfer, reactor modeling
- Novel high-performance catalysts: preparation, test of performance and characterization
- Catalyst screening, deactivation and rejuvenation in multiphase systems
- Multiphase reactors for fine chemicals and renewable
- New experimental techniques to monitor multiphase systems
- Transient operation of multiphase and multifunctional reactors
- Multiphase reactors as applied for bio-processes
- Bio-processes for an efficient utilization of biomass

Topic II - Multifunctional reactors
- New reactor configuration
- Catalytic structured reactors (e.g. cloth, fibers, foam, monolith, etc.)
- Industrial reactors modeling and managing
- Multifunctional devices: smart integration of mixing, heat transfer, reaction, separation and product work-up
- Use of non-conventional solvents
- High-shear, high-gravity systems (e.g. multiphase rotating packed beds, spinning disc, ...)
- Coupling reaction and separation (reactive distillation, adsorption, chromatography, membranes...)
- Non-conventional reactors: Membrane reactors, Bioreactors
- Alternative energy input (light, ultra-sound, micro-wave)
