HIGH PRESSURE IN VENICE

VENICE (Italy) - one of the most important tourist, cultural and artistic centre with an excellent hotel set-up and a world-famous seashore - has been selected as venue for the Fourth International Symposium on High Pressure Process Technology and Chemical Engineering.

Lido di Venezia is an island close to Venice downtown (i.e. Piazza San Marco), from which it can be reached by boat in ten minutes. At the Lido boat station a bus is available for connection to Centro Congressi (about 1.5 km apart) every 12 minutes.

Suspended amid the sea and the sky on a myriad of deep-set piles, Venice is the most picturesque of all Italian cities. Architecture seems to reach its highest triumph, painting achieves the limit of forcefulness and beauty through the masterpieces of Tiziano, Tintoretto, Mantegna and many more.

Along the banks of the "Canal Grande" there is an astonishing parade of marble palaces that make the canal the strongest, the richest and the most impressive thoroughfare in the world.
