BURANO - TORCELLO - MURANO ( full day)

 

9h00. Meeting with English speaking guide at Pl.e Elisabetta

Leave Lido by motorboat to Murano known throughtout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here there is a stop for a visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at picturesque island of Burano famous not only for its lace but also for its fishermen's houses painted in bright colours. Then, after a short sail of about ten minutes we reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilisation in the estuary. Only the cathedral with its mignificent mosaics and the curch of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory.
Stop for lunch at Torcello (optional).
Return to Lido at 17:00.
