ESCAPE-10 The 10th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering

Florence Italy May 7-10, 2000

CAPE Working Party Policy on ESCAPE Publication.

CAPE WP has recently approved the following policy for ESCAPE-10 proceedings publication:

The ESCAPE proceedings will have a two-level publication.

"Computer-Aided Chemical Engineering", Vol.8, ELSEVIER Science, 2000

In the first level, all the papers accepted for the Symposium will be published into the book series "Computer-Aided Chemical Engineering" edited by ELSEVIER Science. The book will be circulated to Libraries. All registered participants to the Symposium will receive a complimentary copy of the book at the Symposium desk. The book will contain, therefore, the Symposium Proceedings and only those papers published into this book will be considered for the second-level publication.

Special Issue of Computer & Chemical Engineering Journal

The second-level (optional for the Authors) is a post Symposium publication which will contain selected papers already published into "Computer-Aided Chemical Engineering" book (first level publication). It is worth to point out that this publication is not an alternative publication to the Symposium Proceedings, but a successive publication which Authors may optionally apply to. This publication will appear no later than one year after the Symposium time. Aim of this approach is to compile a Special Issue of Computer & Chemical Engineering Journal, which will contain selected contributions, which were presented throughout the symposium. The Special Issue will be published as part of the C&CE journal, and named explicitly as the ESCAPE-10 Special Issue. Authors interested to this publication are asked to prepare a new version of their articles on basis of their contribution to the ESCAPE-10 symposium:

  1. Paper length: no limit on the pages number.
  2. Instructions for Authors can be found on the Inside Back Cover of all issues of Computers & Chemical Engineering Journal ( Additional details on how to compile references may be downloaded here)
  3. Three hard copies of the paper should be directly delivered by Authors to the ESCAPE-10 Symposium desk, in Florence. An editable file of the delivered paper ( preferably *.doc) should be added on disquette or CD-rom. Any delivery of papers made by electronic mail will not be taken into consideration.
  4. Papers will be reviewed by the ISC of ESCAPE-10.
