HOW TO REACH GIARDINI NAXOS
On Sunday,
May 20, a private shuttle bus is organized for FOA9 Conference participants
from Catania "Fontanarossa" International Airport to Naxos Beach Hotel.
The service is free of charge. From the Arrivals hall of the airport a FOA9
hostess will give you the directions to the bus.

The
Catania "Fontanarossa" International Airport
is about 50 km from Giardini Naxos.
Note
that the Catania "Fontanarossa" International Airport has been expanded and
improved. The new airport is called from May 5th, 2007 Catania " Vincenzo Bellini"
International Airport.
The Naxos Beach Hotel can be reached from the airport also by public transportation or by taxi.
Public buses (ETNEA lines) are available from Catania Airport (on the right from the Arrivals exit) to Giardini Naxos according to the following timetable

The nearest
bus stop to the Naxos Beach Hotel is called "Recanati" . It
is reached in about 70 minutes from the airport and it is located at about 300
mt from the Hotel (see map below) .
Tickets may be bought
on the bus. One way ticket costs euro 5,00
Taxis
are also available at the airport. The taxi fare from Airport to Giardini Naxos
is fixed by the municipality in 80 Euro (per car, so sharing the car
is very convenient). Note that no extra charge is needed for night service and
luggage.
We recommend that you check the official taxi fares that are indicated at the
taxi parking place and that you explicity ask the taxi driver how much you will
be charged.
